About the Role:

Leeds Bradford Airport is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its Engineering team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing electrical distribution and switchgear systems, ensuring the airport's assets are available and performing at optimal levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and planned maintenance of electrical systems in line with manufacturer's guidelines and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in a range of planned and reactive maintenance tasks, including plumbing, joinery, and general building repairs/maintenance.
  • Complete tasks in accordance with the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program, handling a mixture of reactive maintenance and project work.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Update and maintain equipment maintenance documentation and logs, produce fault reports, and record events in accordance with data capture requirements.
  • Take a hands-on approach when necessary to expedite the restoration of systems in the event of service loss or impairment, prioritizing safety-related systems.
  • Support the Engineering Department as needed.

Requirements:

The successful applicant must be a time-served qualified Electrician with 18th Edition certification and have a flexible attitude towards working hours, covering leave, and being on call for major issues. You must also be able to undertake a 5-year background check and undergo a DBS criminal check.
