About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Fire Engineer to join our team at AECOM. As a Senior Fire Engineer, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of fire engineers, overseeing the successful delivery of projects, and ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of fire engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
  • Project Delivery: Oversee the delivery of projects, ensuring they meet regulatory requirements and client expectations.
  • Technical Expertise: Provide specialized technical input to studies and designs projects, and assist in the development of professional development plans for staff.
  • Client Relationships: Lead technical client relationships and play a major role in attracting new work and clients.
  • Business Development: Support the national team in achieving its KPIs, and develop and implement a marketing strategy with a focus on interactive and collaborative communications with clients.
Requirements
  • Experience: Extensive experience working on Middle East projects, with a comprehensive knowledge of Middle Eastern standards, including NFPA, IBC, IFC, UAE Fire Code, Saudi Building Code, Qatar Civil Defence Guidelines, and other local civil defence regulations.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using common fire engineering tools such as FDS, SFS, and evacuation modelling software, and membership in relevant professional institutions, such as MI Fire and/or certifications from NFPA, such as CFPE.
  • Education: A Chartered Engineer (CEng) with the Institute of Fire Engineering, and an MSc or PhD in a fire-related discipline.
