We are looking for a skilled HR Manager to join our team at Focus Resourcing Group in Gloucester. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing HR functions, including employee relations, performance management, and compensation and benefits.
This is a 21-hour per week role, offering flexibility to work over three full days or shorter days throughout the week. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of employment laws, labour relations, and HR best practices, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key responsibilities include:
- Employee Relations: Provide guidance and support to employees, resolving concerns and issues promptly and effectively.
- Performance Management: Manage probation reviews and provide guidance to managers on annual appraisals, promoting employee growth and development.
- Compensation and Benefits: Develop and implement competitive compensation and benefits packages, overseeing monthly payroll processes and coordinating with finance to manage salary administration.
- Training and Development: Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance employee skills, compliance training, and leadership development.
- Policy Development and Compliance: Create, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure adherence to labour laws and company policies.
- HR Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with organisational goals, driving business success.
- Data and Reporting: Maintain accurate day-to-day HR records, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
Requirements:
- CIPD qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar HR function
- Strong knowledge of employment laws, labour relations, and HR best practices
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritise work effectively
- Good IT skills, particularly Excel and web-based systems
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a team spirit
