Job Description

We are seeking an experienced associate to join our Construction team. The successful candidate will support two partners and work closely with an excellent associate, trainee, and paralegal support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise employers on building contracts, professional appointments, and security documentation.
  • Assist the Property team with construction aspects of sale/purchase contracts and development agreements.
  • Support the Banking team with construction aspects of lending and security documents.
  • Advise contractors and construction industry professionals on contract terms, professional appointments, and security documents.
Requirements
  • Strong academic background and common sense.
  • 4-6 years of PQE experience.
  • Solid experience and technical knowledge of the practice area.
  • Interest in and enthusiasm for Construction Law.
  • Excellent team player with commercial awareness.
  • Efficient communication skills and ability to deliver tailored advice.
  • Organizational skills to manage files and transactions effectively.
Working Arrangements

The hours of work for this opportunity are 9:30am - 5:30pm. We expect the successful candidate to be committed, flexible, and prepared to work beyond normal office hours if necessary.

Farrer & Co operates an agile working framework, requiring at least 40% of working hours to be spent in the office. This is a minimum expectation, and individuals may elect or be asked to work more frequently in the office depending on circumstance.
