Appoint Healthcare is proud to partner with a leading Hospital supporting children and adolescents with mental health needs. We are seeking an experienced Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) to join their Specialist CAMHS PICU in South East London as a senior staff nurse (Band 6).

About the Role

This exciting opportunity allows you to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver positive outcomes for patients and their families. As a senior staff nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with complex needs and behaviours that challenge.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide expert nursing care to patients with mental health needs, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to deliver person-centred care.
  • To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care and patient safety.
  • To lead and mentor junior members of the team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • To contribute to the development of policies and procedures, ensuring they are evidence-based and effective.
Requirements
  • Degree-qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD)
  • Valid NMC registration with no restrictions
  • Eligibility to live and work in the UK (British passport holder or Biometric card)
  • Experience within a CAMHS or PICU service
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
