Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team at Sterling Recruitment Solutions Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for pricing new build projects with large groundworks, concrete, and steel packages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production and coordination of all bid documentation, including tender documents and subcontractor enquiries.
  • Analysis of tender documents and preparation of package lists for enquiries, as well as preparation and issuance of subcontractor and material enquiries.
  • Pricing traditional trades analytically from first principles, including resource bills using materials and suppliers' quotations.
  • Production and analysis of subcontractor comparisons, including pricing tender preliminaries.
  • Coordination of all aspects of the tender pricing process, including presentation of tenders to the Operations Director at tender adjudication meetings.
  • Completion of detailed risk analysis schedules and liaison with the commercial manager on methods of incorporation into bids.
  • Preparation of Cost Plans from client information.
  • Provision of Cash Flow forecasts.
  • Attendance at mid/post tender interviews with the Client team on bids under consideration.

Requirements:

  • Experience in pricing new build projects with large groundworks, concrete, and steel packages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work closely with the Operations Director and Project Manager.
