Job Description

We are recruiting for a Field Based Service Engineer to join our client, a well-established and successful business with a growing market presence.

The role offers a secure and permanent position with opportunities for long-term career growth within an organisation that is a leader in its niche field and has an excellent reputation in the market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, repairing and maintaining a range of machinery and equipment from a portfolio of manufacturers. Training will be provided both in-house and via OEM to enable progression within the role.

This is a mobile-based position, working from a van, but there will also be workshop duties, including work on specialist equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Servicing, repairing and maintaining heavy plant machinery or construction plant
  • Providing mechanical and electrical support
  • Driving licence required
  • Adequate tooling to complete tasks, with specialist tools supplied
  • Maintenance of records and reporting

Requirements:

  • Experience in repair and maintenance in the construction industry
  • Mechanical and electrical knowledge
  • Welding and fabrication skills advantageous
  • Ability to travel and work flexibly
  • Good sense of humour essential
