Job Description: Care Assistant - Richmond Fellowship Scotland

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals in our communities to live independently and safely.

About the Role:
Two full-time positions are available for Care Assistants to work with three individuals in shared accommodation. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in social care and develop your skills in supporting vulnerable adults.

Responsibilities:
  1. Social Support: Organize and participate in community activities, such as outings to day centres, cinema, and swimming.
  2. Medical Support: Monitor and administer medication as needed.
  3. Practical Support: Assist with daily household tasks, including general housework, laundry, cooking, and shopping.

Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is approximately £28,000 per annum, plus benefits including paid travel during shifts, fuel allowance, and ongoing training opportunities.

Career Progression:
The Richmond Fellowship Scotland offers career progression opportunities in social care, including SVQ Level 2 Health and Social Care, which we will fully finance and support you to achieve in-house.
