SHEQ Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SHEQ professional to join our team as a SHEQ Manager - Net Zero Specialist. This role will be responsible for managing SHEQ activities for Net Zero (EV) contracts, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, business, and client requirements.

About the Role:

This is a critical position that requires a strong understanding of SHEQ principles and regulations. As a SHEQ Manager - Net Zero Specialist, you will be responsible for providing SHEQ support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Provide SHEQ support for bids and contracts, ensuring robust pricing, risk management, and governance.
• Monitor and manage the performance of MES direct staff, agency staff, and subcontractors to ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement changes to process to improve performance and reduce risks.
• Lead the development of a SHEQ culture consistent with business ambitions and promote a positive safety culture.
• Ensure alignment with client and Morrison Energy Services vision, values, behaviours, and SHEQ standards.
• Support the implementation of relevant procedures to deliver contract/business requirements.
• Assist in the development, review, and implementation of safe systems of work.
• Monitor site compliance with statutory SHEQ responsibilities and the Business Management System.
• Monitor SHEQ performance, record findings, and advise management as appropriate.
• Assist in timely incident investigations and reporting.

Requirements:

• NEBOSH construction certificate or NEBOSH general certificate with construction experience.
• Full UK driving license.
• Member of IOSH or IIRSM.
• Appreciation/understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
• Relevant SHEQ experience in Utilities/Electrical or Construction industry.
• IT literate with experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and the internet.

• A competitive salary of £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience.
