Job Title: HR Generalist

Location: Exeter - Office Based

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm (flexible hours)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our dynamic and busy HR team in Exeter. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for implementing HR policies and providing a first-class generalist HR service to managers and employees.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Head of HR in meeting business objectives and implementing HR policies
  • Work collaboratively with managers to ensure the correct handling of disciplinary, grievance, capability, and absence management procedures
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and processes are consistently applied in line with current legislation and company policy
  • Take responsibility for all aspects of HR administration, delegating tasks to the HR administrator as needed
  • Liaise closely with the in-house Recruitment team and assist with ad-hoc HR-related projects
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience supporting disciplinaries, sickness management, and grievances
  • Thorough knowledge of UK employment law
  • Extensive employee relations experience
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to build positive relationships with managers and employees at all levels
  • Confident and articulate verbal communicator
  • Ability to influence employees at all levels
  • Ability to compose accurate, clear, and concise written communications
