About the Role

NHS Ayrshire & Arran's Public Health Directorate is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team in the picturesque west coast of Scotland. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with Community Planning Partnerships, Local Authorities, Integrated Health & Social Care Partnerships, Third Sector, Resilience Partnerships, and other key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement public health strategies to improve health outcomes in Ayrshire
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to design and deliver health improvement initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners to achieve shared goals
  • Contribute to the development of policies and procedures to support public health initiatives
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in public health
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public health medicine and a proven track record of delivering health improvement initiatives. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The post is subject to the NHS Scotland Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions for NHS Staff or Medical and Dental contract depending on registration. Applicants must be registered as a Specialist with the UK Public Health Register, or GMC for medically trained applicants, and all speciality registrars should be within six months of obtaining their CCT at date of interview.
