About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Cheshire West and Chester Council. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, person-centred care to adults with learning disabilities, autism, dementia, and the elderly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support individuals with dignity and care to maximise their independence, putting them at the centre of everything you do.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, including dressing, feeding, personal care, and administering medications.
  • Encourage individuals to access the community, participate in activities, and engage in social interactions.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date records, contributing to and following care plans.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
Requirements
  • Share our values of Teamwork, Honesty, Respect, Innovation, Value for Money, and Empowerment.
  • Have a commitment to people with learning and other disabilities.
  • Be willing to learn and develop skills, with a commitment to gaining a QCF/NVQ in Social Care (or already hold it).
  • Be able to undertake personal care and manual handling tasks.
  • Be reliable, flexible, and a team player.
