As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for fostering a supportive and engaging environment for our volunteers, ensuring they play a crucial role in our mission of providing love, attention, and support to pets in our care.
Key Responsibilities- Recruit and support a diverse team of volunteers, ensuring they are fully integrated into the team.
- Work closely with Centre Managers and Assistant Managers to promote the benefits of volunteering and raise awareness of our centre and Blue Cross.
- Build relationships with local communities and partners, promoting the benefits of volunteering to provide more targeted support.
- Manage a bank of volunteers, ensuring they have the right opportunities to thrive in their roles.
- Demonstrable experience of supervision or management of volunteers.
- Good experience of running and marketing recruitment campaigns for volunteer roles.
- Experience of working with local communities and promoting volunteer opportunities.
- Strong organisational, administration and analytical skills, including use of computerised systems.
- Good interviewing and recruitment skills.
- An awareness of health and safety legislation.
- Current full driving licence.
