About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our mental health services, you will play a vital role in providing evidence-based low-intensity CBT interventions to individuals with low mood and anxiety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and support individuals with common mental health problems in the self-management of their recovery.
  • Provide a range of information, signposting, and support via evidence-based, high-volume, low-intensity psychological treatments.
  • Offer support via telephone, online, face-to-face, or psycho-education groups/webinars.
  • Provide case management and clinical skills supervision to Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs).
  • Line manage PWP teams and lead on groups/webinar provision and community/outreach initiatives.
  • Work alongside the Senior Management Team to implement new service developments and initiatives.
  • Keep up-to-date with new innovations and developments in PWP practice and maintain links with universities/educational providers.
Requirements
  • PWP Post Graduate Qualification (training must be completed in an adult Talking Therapies service).
  • Psychology or other health-related undergraduate degree.
  • Post-qualification experience in an adult Talking Therapies service.
  • LI CBT Supervisor Training.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Working with Long Term Conditions and Medically Unexplained Symptoms in LI CBT Training.
  • Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling, or within a psychological therapy.
  • Psychology or other health-related postgraduate degree.
  • Evidence of qualifications required.

  • Able to work under pressure.
