About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Nurse Specialist to join our team at Ashtead Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced nurse to provide focused care to patients in the perioperative setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review patients' medical history, current medications, allergies, and any relevant medical conditions to ensure they are suitable for surgery.
  • Liaise with surgeons, anaesthetists, and other healthcare providers to ensure a smooth and safe patient journey.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and independently to deliver high-quality care.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Requirements:

  • Current NMC registration.
  • Previous experience working within a surgical ward is ideal but not a requirement.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
  • Flexible and positive attitude.
  • A warm, considerate, and empathetic character.
