At Goldman Sachs, Controllers play a crucial role in ensuring the firm meets all financial control and reporting obligations. They measure the profitability of and risks associated with every aspect of the firm's business, ensuring compliance with regulations governing transactions in the financial markets.

The AMD Fund Controllers team is responsible for overseeing the accounting for AMD public offshore funds, managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management. This includes reviewing and approving daily pricing funds, expense budgeting, financial statement reporting, audit management, and regulatory reporting.

Your Impact

As a Fund Controller, you will develop an in-depth understanding of offshore fund structures, accounting, and processes. You will contribute to various fund-driven projects and participate in industry initiatives and technical accounting reviews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversight and review of Fund Administrators, including review of NAVs, service levels, and other projects
  • Management of fund/share class launches and closures, as well as other initiatives
  • Fund budgeting (for non-asset based fees) and expense oversight and reconciliation
  • Review of Fund regulatory reports, including Financial Statements
  • Preparing analytical reports for Management, Fund Boards, and other stakeholders
  • Coordination with Fund Administrators for reporting cycles and other initiatives
  • Development/enhancement of systems and applications

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant with asset management industry experience essential
  • Able to demonstrate technical accounting knowledge in your current area of expertise
  • Experience in preparation of audited financial statements
  • A track record of improving processes and adding value to clients/stakeholders
  • Proven history of working to and achieving strict deadlines
