Job Title: Educational Therapist

Ribbons and Reeves are seeking an experienced Educational Therapist to join our team in London. As a Trauma-informed professional, you will support hard-to-reach young people with SEMH, ACEs, ASC, sensory, and communication needs in a community-based role. This rewarding position offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while building healthy, supportive relationships with students.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people who have SEMH, ACEs, ASC, sensory, or communication difficulties. They will possess a trauma-informed understanding of therapeutic education and behavioral support. A solution-focused, resilient, and reflective approach is essential for this role. Strong relationship-building skills, with an emphasis on creating positive change, are also required.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to students, building trust and resilience.
  • Lead community-based sessions, with flexibility to travel across London as needed.
  • Maintain professional boundaries while fostering healthy, therapeutic relationships.
  • Engage with project-based learning groups, supporting varied educational needs.

Benefits:
  • A competitive salary of £28,000 - £32,000 per annum.
  • Travel expenses covered within working hours, plus lunch expenses when with students.
  • Regular CPD, meetings, and resources provided on Fridays at The Boathouse Studios, Barking.
