About the Role

Latham & Watkins LLP is a leading global law firm seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our Technology & Information Services team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in deploying and supporting network services across the firm, ensuring the stability and reliability of our enterprise network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Infrastructure Management: Propose solutions to enhance the stability and reliability of the enterprise network, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network management tools.
  • Technology Support: Provide support for technologies including Cisco LAN and WAN infrastructure, routing and switching, ISP circuits, Data Center design, Cloud Services, Security, Wireless, and Remote Access.
  • Circuit Management: Coordinate the management of circuit providers and subscribed services, including ordering, maintenance, problem resolution, and performance monitoring.
  • Change Management: Follow standard Service Management, ITSM, ITIL, and Change Management policies and procedures, including representing networking changes at the Change Advisory Board and coordinating with internal groups to ensure global configuration standards are maintained.
  • Security and Compliance: Assist with security audits and required changes, maintain an inventory of spare networking hardware, and review and track associated software and firmware revisions and patches to maintain global standards as part of infrastructure lifecycle management.
Requirements
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent in Information Technology or a related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Certifications: A Cisco Certification, preferably.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in network engineering and management.
  • Skills: Analytical skills, professional interpersonal skills, ability to handle confidential and sensitive information, and the ability to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems.
