About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team at Lounge. As a key member of our kitchen team, you'll be responsible for supporting the Head Chef in delivering exceptional food quality and service standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the kitchen team to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Develop and implement kitchen procedures to maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and execute menus, ensuring consistency and quality
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control to minimize waste and optimize resources
  • Train and develop junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and knowledge
  • Contribute to the development of new menu ideas and concepts

Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent role in a high-volume kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Excellent culinary skills, with a focus on quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Knowledge of kitchen operations, including inventory management, ordering, and stock control
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on finding creative solutions to kitchen challenges
