Specialty Doctor in Emergency Medicine

Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Specialty Doctor to join our Emergency Department. This exciting opportunity will enable you to work in a fast-paced environment, providing primary medical care to patients suffering recent injuries and acute medical conditions.

Clinical duties will include the provision of advice to members of the general public, treatment of patients referred by General Practitioners, and pre-hospital treatment of trauma victims.

This role offers the opportunity to work across both hospital sites, gaining experience in working in a Major Trauma Centre and tertiary centre for various hospital specialties. You will be exposed to a variety of Emergency Medicine presentations, including acute illness and sudden onset conditions.

The successful applicant will supervise and teach training grade doctors on the shop floor, developing their skills and knowledge in Emergency Medicine. If you are a motivated and skilled doctor looking for a challenging role, we encourage you to apply.
