About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Shift Engineer to join our team at Saputo Dairy UK. As a Shift Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cheese packing facility, maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain an integrated cheese packing operation to agreed health and safety, quality, engineering, and technical standards.
  • Maintain multiple lines of automated vision systems, slicers, scales, bagging, and packaging equipment.
  • Optimize line performance to meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in the areas of equipment reliability and efficiency.
  • Ensure appropriate information is captured on plant performance, maintenance activities to drive a predictive approach to tasks and prevent equipment failures.
Requirements
  • A strong multi-discipline engineering background, preferably in an FMCG environment.
  • The ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, manage priorities, and identify issues and solutions using your own initiative.
  • The ability to carry out fault finding of PLC, 3PH, and 24v systems.
  • Lean manufacturing tools and techniques experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in a TPM environment.
  • The ability to use CMMS and interpret data to increase plant efficiency and identify top loss.
