About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team at a local secondary school in Southampton. As a PE Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to students, inspiring them to develop a love for physical activity and sport.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching PE at the secondary level, with experience of teaching BTEC Tech Award Sport and/or Netball. You will be able to use a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate students, and demonstrate a commitment to sharing best practice with colleagues in the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons to students, inspiring them to develop a love for physical activity and sport.
  • Use a range of teaching strategies to engage and motivate students.
  • Share best practice with colleagues in the department.
  • Support the Academy ethos and participate in extra-curricular activities within the PE department.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in PE.
  • PGCE/QTS.
  • Experience of teaching PE at the secondary level.
  • Familiarity with KS3 and GCSE curriculum.
