About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our team in Aberdeen. As a key member of our Mental Health Service, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health issues to achieve their goals and improve their overall wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to individuals with mental health issues, promoting independence and self-management.
  • Work collaboratively with other agencies and organisations to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  • Assist individuals in accessing local facilities and resources, promoting community engagement and social inclusion.
  • Support individuals in developing skills and confidence, enabling them to manage their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualised support plans, ensuring that each person's needs are met.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health issues, or a willingness to learn and develop your skills in this area.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
