Clinical Career Development Fellowship

The University of Cambridge is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill a Clinical Career Development Fellowship position within the Cambridge BHF Centre of Research Excellence.

About the Role:

We are looking for a talented postdoctoral researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative cardiovascular research projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in basic biomedical science, applied health research, or population/data science, and a proven track record of research and communication in a relevant subject.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in cardiovascular science, with a focus on translational medicine and basic biomedical science.
  • Develop and implement innovative research projects, working closely with multi-disciplinary partners.
  • Communicate research findings effectively through publications, presentations, and other channels.
  • Contribute to the development of the Cambridge BHF Centre of Research Excellence, aligning with the Centre's aims and main research themes.

Requirements:

  • PhD in a relevant field (basic biomedical science, applied health research, population/data science, or translational medicine).
  • Strong research background and publication record in a relevant subject.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to secure funding for research projects, with a strong track record of securing grants and awards.
