Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Solicitor to lead our Property team in North West London. As Head of Department, you will oversee residential and commercial property law cases, providing expert advice to clients and supervising junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your own case load in residential conveyancing, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Provide tailored legal advice to individual clients, addressing their specific needs.
  • Draft clear and concise legal documents and advice notes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering high performance.
  • Lead business development initiatives to generate new clients and opportunities.
  • Represent the firm at networking events, promoting our services.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case management.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and needs.
  • Ensure compliance with quality policies and CQS standards.
  • Achieve financial and billing targets set by the Partners.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support the development of team members.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A qualified solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Extensive experience in residential conveyancing, with commercial conveyancing experience desirable.
  • A proven track record in managing a team and driving performance.
  • Strong business development skills, focusing on client acquisition and retention.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to draft clear and concise legal documents and advice.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in office IT applications and legal software.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Understanding of financial management and billing processes.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards, including SRA Accounts Rules.
