EKFB is proud to have been appointed by HS2 to deliver civil engineering works across an 80km section of the new high speed rail link between the Chiltern Tunnel and Long Itchington Wood.
We are seeking a Civil Engineering Apprentice to support our Greatworth to Southam team in the West Northamptonshire and Warwickshire area.
The successful candidate will assist Site Engineers in major engineering control activities, applying engineering principles and techniques, and carrying out calculations and data analysis.
Key responsibilities include preparing and producing sketches, diagrams, and models to support technical problem-solving and the delivery of civil engineering designs and technical solutions.
The role involves using a range of tools and techniques, including digital techniques (such as CAD or BIM), to aid the visualisation, communication, measurement, and assessment of works.
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning, design, programming, and delivery of engineering activities to agreed timescales and budgets.
They will use quality systems and risk assessment procedures to monitor and manage projects and their risks, and assist with site inspections and surveys.
Additionally, the candidate will report progress against project plans and check specified technical aspects of site activities.
This is a Level 4 Civil Engineering Technician apprenticeship lasting up to 36 months (not including the end-point assessment period).
About The Candidate- English and Maths GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade 4/C or above
- A-Level or BTEC qualification, preferably Engineering or Construction based
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle in order to travel to and from work every day, and between locations if required
