About the Role:


We are seeking an experienced Senior Audio Visual Technician to join our team at Urus Recruitment in Royston.



Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support for projects of all sizes, including on-site support, client liaison, rehearsals, show operation, and equipment preparation.




  • Providing technical support for projects, including on-site support, client liaison, rehearsals, and show operation;
  • Preparing and operating AV equipment for events and exhibitions;
  • Working closely with the project management team to ensure effective and professional delivery of services to clients;
  • Maintaining company standards and methods when working with freelance crew members;
  • Simplifying maintenance and servicing of company equipment.


In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be required to cover quick turnarounds, assist with stock management, report missing items and damages, and provide technical support to the warehouse team.



Your Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a passion for all things AV, including lighting, sound, video, graphics, and IT. You will also require:




  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as an events technician in the audio visual industry;
  • A fundamental understanding of audio visual technical equipment and connectivity;
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and time management skills, as well as flexibility to meet client needs;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • The ability to travel within the UK, Europe, and beyond as required.


You will also need to have a full clean UK driving license and be eligible to work in the UK.



Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is between £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
