Job Title: Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Co-ordinator

Location: Dyce, Aberdeen

Gregory Group is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) Co-ordinator to join our team. As a key member of our HSEQ team, you will play a critical role in promoting a culture of safety, quality, and environmental responsibility across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective HSEQ strategies and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and support site-level HSEQ performance, providing guidance and expertise as needed.
  • Champion best practices and industry trends, ensuring our operations remain at the forefront of HSEQ excellence.
  • Collaborate with site and department managers to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Develop and maintain HSEQ policies, procedures, and training programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on HSEQ matters, including risk assessments, safe systems of work, and incident investigations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies, industry associations, and other stakeholders to stay informed on HSEQ trends and best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of business continuity plans to ensure minimal disruption to operations in the event of an incident or crisis.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally in a related industry such as distribution and warehousing.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in HSE or a similar role.
  • Industry-recognized qualification such as the NEBOSH National General Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong track record of delivering safety performance improvement through behavioral and cultural change.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including presenting to senior managers.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours as the business requires.
  • Strong analytical capability and ability to analyze data and find timely solutions to problems.
  • Hard working and conscientious.
  • Ability to proactively manage changing priorities and deadlines at short notice.
  • Strong decision-making skills.
  • Experience with ISO standards.
  • Full UK driving license, as this will involve traveling to other sites.

Desirable Skills:

  • Transport and warehouse experience.
  • Working towards the NEBOSH National Diploma.
  • Experience with BRC Warehousing and Transport Standards.
  • Finance experience.
  • Continuous Improvement methodology qualification.
