Procurement Category Strategist

The Category Manager is responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies for various categories across Pilgrims Europe's Ire and UK sites. This role will lead transformational & sustainability projects as part of large company-wide initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure business requirements and procurement objectives are met.
- Monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company standards, ensuring SOX compliance.
- Capture real savings and report monthly.
- Track performance within each spend category and define budgetary impact.
- Manage vendor selection and performance, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
Requirements:
- A successful track record of delivery in a procurement environment.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing effective cost-saving forecasting strategies.
- Complete ownership and understanding of the category, from raw material specification to end use in the factory.
- Ability to collaborate with Senior Leadership teams to future plan and drive success.
- Data analysis skills, including summarizing large amounts of data quickly.
- Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time, including international travel.
Estimated Salary:
£80,000 - £100,000 per annum.
