What Skills and Experience We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher with QTS.
National Award for SEN Co-ordination, or a willingness to complete it within 3 years of appointment.
Degree in a relevant subject area.
Successful teaching experience in a relevant subject area.
Demonstrate a student-centered approach to teaching, including an appreciation of inclusive provision and practices.
Experience of conducting training/leading INSET.
Involvement in self-evaluation and development planning.
Experience of working in partnership with parents/carers to facilitate effective links between home and school.
Sound knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
Understanding of what makes 'quality first' teaching, and of effective intervention strategies.
Ability to plan and evaluate interventions.
