Job Summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled Therapeutic Radiographer to join their team at the Milton Keynes Satellite Centre. As a key member of the department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality radiotherapy treatments to patients.

The successful candidate will have recent experience working clinically within radiotherapy and be familiar with Varian equipment, including linacs and virtual simulation. A strong understanding of computerised treatment planning systems and radiation dosimetry is also essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a purpose-built satellite unit in Milton Keynes, which opens in October 2024. The centre will house a Varian TrueBeam linac with a 6DoF couch, RGSC & IDENTIFY, as well as a GoSim Radiotherapy CT scanner with in-room mould room facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Deliver radiotherapy treatments to patients, working closely with the multidisciplinary team.
  2. Assist with the day-to-day organisation of the treatment unit, ensuring an efficient service is delivered and workload targets are achieved.
  3. Supervise, support, and teach junior members of staff and students.
Requirements
  • BSc (Hon) in Radiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
  • HCPC registered Therapeutic Radiographer.
  • Awareness of HCPC standards of conduct.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience of using Varian equipment, including linacs and virtual simulation.
  • Knowledge of computerised treatment planning systems and radiation dosimetry.
