We are representing a leading food manufacturer in their search for an experienced Engineering Team Leader. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate a team of maintenance engineers, fostering a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Manage day-to-day maintenance activities, including the prioritization of resources in a fast-paced production environment.
- Respond quickly and efficiently to machinery breakdowns, minimizing downtime.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and factory start-up testing.
- Manage external contractors and ensure all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Salary and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary of £60,000+ benefits, including a generous holiday allowance, robust pension scheme, flexible working options, ongoing training opportunities, and more.
Requirements:
- A recognized time-served apprenticeship or relevant qualifications in mechanical or electrical engineering (minimum NVQ Level 3).
- Extensive hands-on technical experience, ideally within the food manufacturing or FMCG sector.
- Knowledge of planned maintenance systems and PPM.
- Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, electrical, and inverter/PC systems.
