**Job Title:** Caretaker
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Maintenance Professional to join our team at Brize Meadow Lodge in Carterton. This is a full-time role working 35 hours per week, 8-3 shifts.
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Additionally, they will need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as some IT skills. As a Maintenance Professional, you will be responsible for ensuring our Residents live in a place that's proactively inspected and maintained at all times.
You will carry out audits, keep records up to date, and perform tasks such as replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting new extractor fans, repairing timber on bedroom windows, or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room. Your primary focus will be on providing kindness above all else.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility, and we require our colleagues to recognize signs of possible abuse, harm, or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. Our team attends safeguarding training and undertakes additional training in associated areas.
