Commercial Valuation Directorship Opportunity

We are working with a well-established regional practice of Chartered Surveyors who provide valuations throughout the South East of England within the commercial property sector. They specialize in business concerns, including trading-related valuations. The practice is panel-appointed and undertakes additional private, legal, and accounting-based work streams, ensuring a varied and secure workflow.

The company seeks to appoint a highly experienced and senior commercial valuation surveyor as follows:

  • Appointment arises through succession planning, enabling a current director to reduce working days and eventually retire.
  • The position combines business and staff management with fee-earning, including oversight of report quality and client liaison.
  • The head office is located in Kent, and suitable surveyors must live within commutable range, enabling attendance at the office 1-2 days per week.
  • Property classes covered include Retail, Industrial, Offices, Licensed/Leisure, Hotels, Healthcare, Educational, and Business concerns.
  • The successful candidate will be a fully MRICS/FRICS and VRS qualified surveyor with extensive commercial valuation experience.
  • The position comes with a shareholding.
  • Tax-efficient earnings are made up of basic salary, dividends, and expenses (£100k OTE).
  • A full, scheduled handover period is provided to ensure a solid bedding-in period.

Suitable commercial valuation surveyor applicants will come from a stable career background, have broad valuation experience, wish to manage and develop their own successful practice, and bring the energy and focus to further the already excellent reputation and profitability of a longstanding brand.
