About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Advisor to join our dynamic Children Care Team based in Carlisle. In this vital role, you will work closely with young people aged 16-21 who are transitioning from care to independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to young people in achieving their personal and educational goals
  • Develop and implement personalized support plans to meet the needs of each young person
  • Work closely with other professionals, such as social workers and education providers, to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting young people
  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to monitor progress and make adjustments to support plans as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience working with young people in a care or support setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Knowledge of the care system and the needs of care leavers
