At Page Green, our specialist Building Services Consultancy is seeking a skilled Technical Author to work remotely. Travel to sites will be paid.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as a Technical Author. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Documentation Creation:
    • Developing technical manuals and project hand-over documentation in collaboration with subject matter experts, including commissioning managers, contractors, suppliers, and project consultants.
    • Creating clear and concise documents that meet the needs of our clients.
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    • Attending team meetings and working closely with colleagues to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
    • Collaborating with IT applications such as collaboration tools, Microsoft Office, project databases, and in-house documentation management solutions.
  • Project Management:
    • Planning and managing the authoring of projects to ensure timely completion and high quality.
    • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure that project requirements are met.
  • Continuous Professional Development:
    • Maintaining knowledge of industry developments and trends, with a focus on energy and environmental directives.
    • Participating in training courses and workshops to stay up-to-date with best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in technical writing or a related field.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
