Maintenance Mechanical Fitter - Skilled
Location - Broughton
Night shift - 1 position available - £36,181pa + 30% shift uplift = (£47,035pa)
The Plant Production Support business, specifically the Calibration, requires a Maintenance Mechanical Fitter. The role will be to support the maintenance of all advanced drilling units within the Broughton plant. The primary task will be ensuring that Planned Preventative Maintenance is completed in line with the PPM Plan. Alongside the PPM activity you will be expected to respond to ad hoc breakdowns that occur.
The applicant will be required to openly communicate and update the business area they are working with and complete tasks in line with their expectations. There is also a necessity to quickly familiarise themselves with the drilling equipment used in all business areas (training will be given), to support any issues that might arise. It is also important that the applicant can work with minimum supervision and prioritise their tasks effectively. You will be expected to communicate and offer advice and guidance to the Customers and Engineers that you deal with daily in order to minimise disruption and drive improvements.
Key Requirements:
- Time served Mechanical Fitter qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above.
- Familiar with all aspects of mechanical maintenance and an understanding of planned preventative maintenance principles.
- Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship experience.
- Familiarity with Advanced Drilling Units would be an advantage but not essential.
- Able to work Safely and follow any appropriate documentation accordingly.
- Used to working under pressure.
- Show excellent communication skills and be customer focused.
- Be able to integrate into an established team and show good team working skills.
