Job Overview:
Cedar is seeking a seasoned Credit Controller to join its dynamic team within the thriving property management industry. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute significantly to maintaining healthy cash flow and client relationships.

In this position, you will be responsible for collecting rents and charges from tenants, ensuring timely rent collections, resolving tenant queries, and escalating issues as necessary. The successful candidate will work closely with a collaborative team, reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect rents and charges from tenants, maintaining a minimum of 98% collection rates.
  • Handle over 30 calls daily to manage arrears and tenant accounts.
  • Resolve tenant queries, provide invoices, and ensure timely responses to communications.
  • Follow debt recovery procedures, reconcile ledgers, and prepare documentation for legal action when required.
  • Collaborate with property managers to address disputes and provide ad-hoc reporting.

About You:
This role requires a proven credit control experience, preferably in a customer-facing role. Strong communication, numerical, and analytical skills are essential. You should be organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing demands under pressure. An empathetic yet assertive approach to problem-solving is also necessary. Additionally, confident IT skills and the ability to adapt to new systems are a must.
