About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Team Leader to join our team at Nominet. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for the administration, performance, and security of our Oracle and Postgres databases.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proactively administer database environments across multiple technologies to provide best-of-breed database support to the Nominet business.
  • Deliver enhancements and projects in line with a technical roadmap across multiple database technologies and platforms.
  • Manage a small team of database administrators while retaining a hands-on role.
  • Foster a culture of coaching and demonstrate effective team management aligned to our values of ownership, integrity, and boldness.
Requirements:
  • Proficiency with Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PLSQL, MySQL, and database replication technologies such as Oracle DataGuard and EDB Replication.
  • Experience in fostering a culture of coaching and effective team management.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with 20% of the time expected in our office in Oxford.
