Salary
The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of £39,500 per annum, with the opportunity for an additional skills allowance of up to £1,500.
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team as a Disability Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to assess individuals who have been referred to us by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough assessments to understand how an individual's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about an individual's disability or health condition.
- Produce detailed reports to help the DWP determine an individual's eligibility for benefits.
- Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through regular feedback and supervision.
Requirements
- You must hold a valid NMC registration number.
- At least one year of post-registration experience in adult or mental health nursing gained within or outside the NHS.
- You must have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
