Job Overview
Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is seeking a skilled Paediatric ED Staff Nurse to join our team at Crowborough Birth Centre. As a core member of our midwifery team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to women and families in a low-risk setting.
Main Duties of the Job
You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standards of care and safety for women, pregnant people, and families. Your duties will include providing low-risk intrapartum care, supporting physiological birth, and promoting safety in a low-risk setting.

MTW is a large acute hospital trust in the south-east of England, providing a full range of general hospital services and some aspects of specialist and complex care to around 600,000 people living in west Kent and East Sussex.
Person Specification
- RM and eligible to practice
- Evidence of further study and development of professional and academic skills
- Sound knowledge of recent Government/Professional documents with awareness of implications to service provision
- Able to demonstrate motivation to maintain professional development
- Ability to work within acute and primary health care settings
Skills
- Able to recognise own limitations in order to seek advice appropriately
- Ability to act effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to exercise professional accountability and autonomy
- Act as mentor to both qualified midwives and students encouraging evidence-based practice
