Compliance and Health and Safety Manager

The HSEQ Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSEQ) policies and procedures within the Business Unit. This role requires strong communication and advisory skills to engage with all levels of the organization and support the development of quality, safety, health, and environmental supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of SHEQ-related activities, including accidents and incidents, improvement reports, and internal and external complaints.
- Conduct safety inspections on projects and operating companies to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Support Business Units in maintaining certified SHEQ systems and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
- Review and update SHEQ policies and procedures to ensure they remain effective and relevant.
- Develop and implement improvement measures based on checks, inspections, and near misses.
- Draft and review basic and project HSE plans, Job Risk Analysis, and other relevant documents.
- Provide expert advice on quality, working conditions, and environmental matters to ensure Business Units operate at the highest possible level.
- Investigate incidents, improvement reports, NCRs, and near accidents, including sissers.
- Maintain relationships with customers, subsidiaries, external agencies, and audit agencies, and supervise audits.
- Support policy-making and the compilation of annual plans and reports regarding the realization of the SHEQ policy.
The HSEQ Manager has the authority to provide solicited and unsolicited advice to the General Manager on matters related to safety, health, and the environment, and to take corrective actions as necessary.
