About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare Scientist to join our team as a UK NEQAS Operations Manager. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our External Quality Assessment (EQA) department, providing EQA programmes in the field of clinical immunology, immunochemistry & Allergy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the EQA department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality EQA programmes to laboratories worldwide.
- Work closely with the Centre Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving EQA performance and customer satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including laboratories, healthcare professionals, and regulatory bodies.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to senior managers and stakeholders on EQA-related matters.
- Contribute to the development of new EQA programmes and services, including the design and implementation of EQA schemes.

UK NEQAS IIA is a leading provider of External Quality Assessment (EQA) services to laboratories worldwide. Our EQA programmes are accredited to ISO 17043 and are designed to support the improvement of laboratory performance and patient care.
Requirements
- Fully registered with HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist or an equivalent and relevant professional body.
- Higher degree such as MSc in relevant subject and Management qualification or equivalent experience.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with experience of presenting data to other scientific staff and taking questions from a large audience of peers.
- Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with staff at all levels, with experience of leading operational activities in a specific area/functional unit and/or acting as a point of escalation.
