Job Title: Transport Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Controller to join our team at Enva. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient delivery of our transportation services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Route Planning and Management: Plan and coordinate the most efficient routes for our drivers, taking into account factors such as traffic, road conditions, and vehicle availability.
  • Driver Management: Manage and coordinate the activities of our drivers, including scheduling, dispatching, and monitoring their performance.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all drivers comply with relevant regulations and safety standards, and that our vehicles are properly maintained and serviced.
  • Communication and Liaison: Liaise with internal departments, including Customer Care, Workshop, Operations, Weighbridge, and Finance, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, vehicle utilization, and driver productivity.
Requirements:
  • Strong IT Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Transportation Experience: Previous experience in a transportation or planning role, preferably in the waste management industry.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with drivers, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Strong Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
