Role Overview

The Wilf Ward Family Trust is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care and Support Professional to join our team at Sherburn House in Knaresborough. As a Care and Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex physical health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend activities and events with individuals, promoting their social and emotional well-being.
  • Assist with meal preparation and medication management, ensuring the highest standards of care.
  • Support individuals with household tasks, such as cleaning and laundry, maintaining a safe and comfortable living environment.
  • Monitor and report any changes in physical or mental health to appropriate staff members, ensuring timely interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of care provided, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Provide personal care to individuals, including bathing, dressing, and toileting, with dignity and respect.

Requirements

We are looking for an individual with a compassionate and caring nature, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to undergo relevant training and development.
