The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to delivery, ensuring that all projects meet our organisational goals and objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Leading and managing a portfolio of IT projects, prioritising based on strategic value, resource availability, and risk.Collaborating with senior leadership to define project strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.Managing a team of project managers, allocating them across the portfolio to ensure optimal use of skills and capabilities.Developing and tracking project budgets and performance, ensuring that projects are delivered within financial constraints.Regularly reporting on project status, health, and performance to executive leadership.Implementing and maintaining governance frameworks to ensure consistent project delivery.Developing the skills and capabilities of the project management team, identifying training and development needs.Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A proven track record of delivering large-scale IT programmes and excellent financial acumen.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing a team of project managers and working cross-functionally to support delivery.
- A strong understanding/knowledge of current IT trends and technologies.
