  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of equipment design to ensure compliance with IEC60079 series Standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on assessment, certification, examination, and testing of equipment.
  • Evaluate documentation for adherence to relevant standards and regulations.
  • Issue Certificates describing equipment and acceptable variations.
  • Certify equipment under UKCA, ATEX, IECEx, and North American schemes.
  • Foster strong relationships with manufacturers or their agents to facilitate smooth certification processes.
  • Provide cost estimates for assessment, testing, and certification services.
  • Specify sample equipment and special requirements as needed.
  • Offer specialist advice and guidance to colleagues and clients.
  • Review, verify, and countersign the work of others to maintain high quality standards.

Requirements:



  • Possess a technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering through higher education.
  • Demonstrate experience in assessment and certification of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Bonus points for holding a degree-level qualification in Mechanical/Electrical engineering.
