Publishing Assistant

The British Museum is seeking a Publishing Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Publishing team, including processing invoices, archiving digital and print titles, and keeping excellent records.
Key areas of responsibility include partnering with the Production Manager to deliver reprints, working closely with the Sales and Marketing Manager to circulate promotional material, and maintaining the sales and rights database. The Publishing Assistant will also be responsible for supporting book events and signings, and managing the day-to-day relationship with third-party publishers.
We are looking for a junior publishing professional with a demonstrable interest in the work of the British Museum and illustrated publishing. The successful candidate will be capable of juggling a varied and time-critical workload, and will have strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail.
About the Team
The British Museum is a world-renowned institution with a collection spanning over two million years of human history and culture. The Publishing team is responsible for producing and distributing the Museum's publications, and the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting this team.
