About the Role

Burton and South Derbyshire College is seeking an exceptional AAT Course Leader to join our Business and Accounting Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding learning experiences to learners on AAT accredited programmes, ranging from Level 2 to Higher Education provision in Business Enterprise. Your expertise will be crucial in planning, delivering, and assessing programmes, while coordinating exams for various employer-responsive AAT qualifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and assess AAT programmes, ensuring high-quality learning experiences for learners
  • Coordinate exams for AAT qualifications, working closely with employers and partners
  • Develop and maintain relationships with employers, ensuring the relevance and effectiveness of our programmes
  • Contribute to the development of the Business and Accounting curriculum, ensuring it remains up-to-date and aligned with industry needs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver learning materials, resources, and assessments

Requirements

  • Qualified to Level 2 English and Maths or willing to work towards it
  • Experience in teaching, assessing, and validating AAT programmes
  • Strong subject knowledge and expertise in Business and Accounting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with learners, employers, and colleagues
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to workload and deadlines
