This is an exciting opportunity to progress your physiotherapy career within a dynamic and well-established physiotherapy service. You will be working across different sites in Oxford, traveling to various locations and interacting with diverse patients.
The team is looking for an existing band 6 Physiotherapist who is eager to build on their skills through this post and integrate themselves into a team that is passionate about their work.
Main Duties of the Job
Perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessments of patients with complex physical and psychological conditions, providing a diagnosis and developing individualized treatment programs.
Communicate effectively with medical and nursing staff, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate a team approach to patient care.
Take responsibility for your caseload and work independently, managing a defined area of the service or a particular patient type.

Job Responsibilities
The purpose of this role is to provide specialist physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients admitted to the wards at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury. The centre has 4 wards, and the role will involve assessing and treating patients with complex long-term neurological conditions, MSK conditions, and mobility difficulties.
You will work alongside a broad multi-disciplinary team, facilitating holistic care and supporting physical activity on the wards. You will also have responsibility for supervising junior staff and physiotherapy students, as well as supporting the professional lead in service development and quality improvement projects.

Qualifications
Essential
- Professional Qualification, BSc or equivalent in Physiotherapy
- Professional Registration (HCPC)
- Evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio or training demonstrating advanced knowledge of rehabilitation
Desirable
- Postgraduate qualification in a subject related to rehabilitation or MSK Physiotherapy
- MSc or equivalent qualification, e.g., Advanced Physiotherapy
Experience
Essential
- Postgraduate experience working in the NHS as a Physiotherapist at Band 5 level within a range of clinical areas of practice
- Experience of managing complex patient caseloads and developing management plans based on advanced clinical reasoning
- Experience of supervising other staff or students
Desirable
- Experience working with older adults
- Experience working with patients with mental illness
